My latest podcast is a mix of joyous hands-in-the-air celebration dance tracks and gay classics, with a healthy sprinkling of Lady Gaga (whose latest album, “Chromatica,” is taking the summer by storm!) It contains my latest remix with Stephen Jusko, of 2020 song of the summer “Rain On Me,” by Mother Monster with help from Ariana Grande.
In fact, I’d say that the spirit of Pride this year is stronger than ever. Pride is not cancelled, just because large gatherings can’t happen. It’s a powerful moment in history and it leaves me feeling motivated and inspired. But thankfully, America is finally demanding change against systematic racism through the #BlackLivesMatter movement in a way that we haven’t seen since the 1960s. We’re still living under a global pandemic with all in-person celebrations cancelled.
With June comes Pride and 2020 is certainly a Pride year for the record books.
